I was having a conversation with a fellow coworker who remarked, “See, that’s why I’m glad I’m not married yet. I can buy whatever the heck I want without questions asked.”
I pointed out that rather than feel constrained, I’m glad to have someone to help control my spending. Being married is the best thing that’s happened to me, both emotionally and especially financially.
